FourLeaf IT was founded by Andrew Tatum and began in March 2009. Before March, Andrew was working as the Director of Technology for Mobile Campus in Atlanta, GA. However, on October 15, 2008 Mobile Campus was hit hard by the economy and lost significant funding, which resulted in Andrew and the majority of other team members to be laid off. After struggling to find a full-time job in Atlanta, he moved back to his second home in Gainesville, FL. To establish income, he reached out to his network to get some ideas about his next steps. That’s when he learned that Gainesville’s small businesses needed someone who could provide much needed support at a reasonable cost. In addition, most businesses had a bitter taste in their mouth about IT Consultants… most didn’t care about building a solid relationship. That’s when he decided to form FourLeaf IT. He wanted to provide excellent support, but also work with the client to gain a better understanding of their problems and their future so he could ensure that his work would not only solve the problem at hand, but also prevent further issues. While this meant that he would receive fewer calls, it was necessary to build a relationship. This is where our slogan, “Keeping IT Lucky” came about.

After a few months, FourLeaf IT landed it’s first major account as an IT Contractor for Aaron Rents, ironically they were based out of Atlanta, GA. FourLeaf IT would develop and provide project management for more than 10 web applications such as Aaron’s Health Challenge, Aaron’s Event Manager, and Aaron’s Dashboard. John Trainor, CTO, relied on FourLeaf IT to develop applications that focused on usability and liked that we defined an application’s release as a feature. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts Aaron’s had to stop working with FourLeaf IT in November 2010, but John was kind enough to give us a glowing recommendation.

From November 2010 – April 2011, FourLeaf IT worked with a local company called Academy Medical. Academy Medical was in desperate need to develop their back-end applications so they could adequately track inventory, product pricing, and have the ability to create & manage cases/invoices. After a couple months, the application was running and received great reviews from their accounts payable department. The last application developed was their new homepage, which now features a cleaner layout and better describes their services & relationships.
